Threat Outbreak Alert: E-mail Messages That Claim to Contain Attached Photographs on September 4, 2010

Cisco Security Intelligence Operations has detected significant activity related to spam e-mail messages that claim to contain attached photographs for the recipient.  The text in the e-mail message instructs the recipient to download an attached .zip file to view the photographs.  However, the attachment contains a malicious .exe file that, when executed, could infect a system with malicious code.
