Enhancement Summary

Passport Software, Inc. is pleased to share these exciting new features and enhancements in PBS™ v. 11.7,included in the 2008 Year End Update.  This update is not required to run W-2's/1099's for tax year 2008, and will be available for Windows and Unix/Linux in mid December as a download only.

General Ledger

Multi-Year Trial Balance Detail.

Expanding upon the powerful Passport Business SolutionsT Version 11.7 analysis tool, Multi-Year General Ledger capability, the new Multi-Year Trial Balance Detail feature is available for previous fiscal years, or any time period you choose.

Run summary or detailed financial analysis on transaction activity between any two dates. Reveal erroneous transactions sooner, or make comparisons of activity for any period you wish, covering current and prior years. If the data is there, you can get to it now.

Accountants/Bookkeepers and Auditors will love this new addition!

A/R and O/E

New Per Line Item Taxation 

Passport now provides per line item tax rates in Accounts Receivable and Order Entry.  If you have items for sale which are taxed at different rates, in accordance with the state or local tax code, you are now able to comply more easily. Individual line items can now be taxed at different rates as you process transactions.

Purchase Order Receiving

Running Totals

During Purchase Order receivings, you are now able to see the running total received against the open Purchase Order, taking receipt of goods knowing that the purchase order matches perfectly.  Or, take a partial delivery and know instantly how much is yet to be delivered in dollars and cents.  No looking up the original purchase order, no running to pull paperwork - the info is right there on the screen. 

Even if you take several partial deliveries, PBST now keeps a running total for you. You are in the know on exactly how much precious inventory has been received and how much is still outstanding at a glance.

Inventory Control

Change Item Number Enhancement

Vendors may issue new item numbers and/or item number formats for the same product(s) you've purchased all along.  Also, you may have unwanted special characters in Inventory Control that you wish to remove.   With Passport Business SolutionsT you are now able to reformat item numbers, as well as update the transactional and history files, for accurate and consistent reporting purposes. 

This enhancement is a huge time saver in reducing data entry when the ability to change item numbers is required.
